1989 Hatteras 38' - The Hull Truth

Broker Listing recently expired but we're still trying to find a new home for our 38' Hatteras. We've owned her since 2002 and have over $34k on main overhauls in 2004 with approximately 500hrs since. Mechanic is currently going through pre-bahamas maintenence and checks. Clean Cold starting (i.e. no smoke) Detroit 671TIs cruise at 20-21, WOT 24-25kt. Cruise burn around 35/hr. New interior soft goods in 2004. New Carpet 2007. New enclosure March 08. 8kw Onan generator. Everything needed to tournament fish or cruise the islands in safety in any weather. New electronics beginning 2004 with latest being new Simrad Autopilot in 2007. We run her weekly, this is not a project boat - turn key and go anywhere tomorrow. 2007 insurance survey available for inspection. We've got Bahamas plans unless you go instead. Asking $149k. Thank you for the compliment. We're spending the next four days fishing in the keys. Next month, Bahamas. I'll be sad to see her go, eventually. Can't believe the state of the boat market, there are so many deals to be had.

Back from the Keys - got nice and bloody with Mahi - all cleaned up and final $10k price reduction to $149k before she comes off the market and goes to the Bahamas.

Ran one of these for a year or so, great little pocket sportfisherman! Not the fastest in the world but still a nice ride!

True she's not the fastest on the bayside, but when you're offshore and the seas are up like last weekend, we don't get passed very often. Good characterization as a pocket sportfish - everything you need for tournaments or keeping the family happy, comfortable and safe funfishing or cruising the islands.

Still available and ready for sailfish and wahoo season. Just finished all seasonal and annual maintenance, new bottom paint, new propspeed application, fresh polish - oil change and fuel filter changes + much much more. Ready to go - see you offshore. Last person to see it said he was looking at late 90's and early 00 boats from other manufacturers which didn't compare to this one. You won't believe this is a 1989 boat.

Asking Price Reduction to $135k. Approx 610 hours SMOH - 8 sails raised and 1 nice mutton is the tally for 09 so far.
