Want to buy Grady White Sailfish - The Hull Truth

Hello all. I am seriously in the market for a Grady White Sailfish. The problem is that I have some pretty specific requirements which are limiting my choices. I am prepared to wait for the right boat, but I thought I would post this here in case someone has found one for sale on the East Coast that I don't know about. So here it goes:

SeaV2 hull--1992+
Newer power--DFI (Opti or HPDI) or 4stroke

Due to my budget I am probably limited to about 1997. Anyway, I had two offers out on boats close to me (in NJ) that fell through for various reasons so I am still looking. I appreciate the help!

i have a 1996 Grady White 268 Islander, with 2000 HPDI's 200 hp, the difference is that i dont have the aft cabin. my boat is in great shape. i just installes new curtains, new bolster cushions in the cockpit, and new tires on the trailer. i can send pics if needed, you will not be diappointed, jason

Maybe posting some kind of number might help. Not your absolute ceiling or floor price. I mean you may end up with boats for 18k on up to 100k if you dont put some type of range in the listing.

There is a 25 Grady White Dolphin with Hpdi,s for 30k I think ,in Wilmington NC. Looks to be real clean. It is the same hull as the Sailfish but the cabin is Way different. It might be on this site. I know I saw it on a different site.

Anyway I have a 2001 Grady White Marlin.
But it has 250 Ox66's with about 200 hours. They are bullet proof and run great
Radar, VHF,Chartplotter
Air and heat
Outriggers
Companion seating
In great condition.
$75k

Thanks guys for the replies. You are right that 02 Sailfish for 65k is a steal. I just had my offer accepted on a repowered 93 Sailfish. I will post pics after the seatrial and survey. Anybody have a good surveyor in the Pt. Pleasant NJ area?
