new-this boat was about$ 7895.00 when I fell in love with it at the NYC boat show back then. I had the cuddy model and it was a great hull.

FYI--the 24 Albemarle that I just sold is almost the identical hull-down to the design of the
transom. I like the Jackshaft setup better--if you do not need the head in the console.

rey - you should start a new thread in the photo section asking people to post up pics of their Formulas. It'll be easier, and prob get more pics than asking everyone to email you. I will dig some up for you as well.

Also, give us an idea of your purchase budget, and what you are looking to spend (time & money) on the redo. There are some great buys out there, but you can also get a "free" boat that will end up costing you an arm & leg...

Posting another picture of what could be for someone:

That boat was rebuilt with a raised deck and wet bilge huge livewell ala Conch 27, totally new stringer system, positive flotation twin bracket.. Previous owners had it all over Costa Rica and everywhere between here and there. When propped for top end it was a 75 mph boat, and it would cruise at 55 and less than 4500 RPM.

To the person saying not through 6-8s at 50 mph, you should have been there with us those days And all the "Floridians" back at the dock were calling it 8-10s "at least" ! Very wet, but you can do stupid things in a very heavy high deadrise boat with a lot of power.

Good luck with the sale... Somebody will enjoy the fruits of their labor on this one.

They were 225s, and ultimately what was the un-doing of the boat... Apparently those FICHTs just became nightmares after 1100 hours or so. The one had a rebuilt powerhead and generally cooperative, but it seemed like a trip to the shop every month at least.

It was my buddy's boat, so I can't take too much credit for it. He bought it after it was built though, and after it had been thoroughly used by the first owner

No pictures of it in the water, but you'd think it was sinking if you saw it. We eventually plugged the holes in the transom for the wet bilge and installed a bilge pump, put a 50 gallon round well in front of the console, and brought it up a couple inches in the water. I think the transom was wet from something or another... When my buddy brought it to a bottom paint shop, they asked to leave the slime line on and they'd paint based on that. They seriously thought he was kidding when he brought it in.

Incredible boat when it was running well though, and the hull here in this thread is a perfect slate for someone who wants to design their ideal trailerable fishing platform
