Default Nauset 27 / Royal Lowell Downeast

27' Nauset Marine Built 1979 / Royal Lowell Lowell design downeast-
This boat was completely rebuilt with a yacht quality interior last winter. I have additonal pictures of the complete open checkbook project, it is gorgeous.
Everything is brand new other than the hull and engine.
New hot/cold water system with shower.
New sanitation system.
All new canvas.
New windows.
New Racor fuel filtration system.
New electronics - Icom VHF, Garmin GPS, Raytheon open array radar (not shown in pictures).
New engine instrumentation.
Fuel sipping/reliable Detroit 4-53N diesel (2400 hours)cruises at 11 knots using only 3 gallons an hour.
This is a beautiful boat that turns heads at all the anchorages. It will give the new owner piece of mind in the fact that it has the seakeeping abilities to keep the whole family safe and sound while cruising or heading back from the fishing grounds.
Asking price - $48,000
Tel. 860.334.2589

When we took on the restoration project it was to "down size" from a 35 footer and we forgot about all the people we take for overnighters. So here we go, looking at 30+ sport fishes with diesels....again. You've got a great boat in the Eastern, but it would be a side step for us.

Dave, you're right about looking into a little diesel, our fuel burn in the boat with the Detroit 4-53N is about 3 gallons an hour at cruise (1900 rpm). We use it alot and fuel costs associated with running this boat are secondary. That one of the things I'll miss alot with the Nauset.

I can see why she's a head turner! That's a really beautiful boat you've got there Gerry. Good luck with a quick sale.

We've just doing a Purchase and Sale on another boat. So we'll be reducing the price on the Nauset - make an offer!

We've had a few tire kickers, but we really would like to move the boat sooner than later. The price has been reduced to $42,000 and would entertain offers as we've got the next boat coming in a couple of weeks. This boat would make a great economical 6 pack charter or or just a family cruiser as we've used it. Here's some additional pictures.

No refrigerator, we've always done day trips and 2 nighters. For those times we use a large cooler and tuck it under the transom, plenty of room and out of the way and sun.

Beam - 10'

No windlass, yet - When we did the restoration I ran a 1 1/4" conduit chase up to the anchor locker to facilitate wiring.

No genset or heat - with the low profile of the aft deck, there's just no room for them. I guess that's the tradeoff for a low center of gravity and stability in heavier seas.

Thanks for looking and asking some good questions that I overlooked in the discription.
