Is the engine new? It says new, with 400 hours, then it says risers and manifolds changed in '06. What year is the engine. FWIW, New = never used. Its a beautiful boat, well maintained.
I think of it as new, since it's not the original engine. The original engine was a 5.0 Gi Volvo that was replaced under warranty at 500 hours by a professional mechanic. We decided to move up to a new 2003 5.7 Gi FWC and are glad we did.

Sweet boat... good luck with the sale... love that kinda true fishing boat with deadrise and I like the I/O DP Prop and the closed cooling fuel injected volvo... great package right there! Id love to go for a ride on that rig and see how she handles someday! Thats just a great boat.... love it!

Thanks for the compliments. The ride on this rig has to be felt to be appreciated.
With the 24 degree deadrise and the engine in the middle, it feels like there's nothing it can't handle.
On a really snotty day, I like to speed up and get it on top of the waves. Truly amazing. There's absolutely NO pounding or hard re-entries on this hull.
Hurricanes- the original motor overheated (faulty impeller) and the mechanic believes it hydrolocked when I tried restart. I bit the bullet and put the 5.7 Gi in. I feel like this is the motor that should come on them from the factory.

I swear the 5.7 is more economical than the 5.0 L. I think it doesn't have to work as hard. I put 100 hours on her last season and only filled it up in the spring and early winter.
Anyone interested in a super clean Albemarle 24 with low hours?
