Default 1973 Seacraft 23' Potter Built - SOLD

SOLD SOLD

Well, my buddy and I are puttin her up for sale to see if we cant get a bite, she's an awesome boat that handles and rides bigger than her 23 ft frame. Could not be more pleased with the way she rides and sips the fuel - whether we're trolling out east of Chatham or going to Peaked Hill, we've never burned more than 35 gallons (120 gallon tank). Other specs:

Recent upgrades in 2002, Oversized T-Top with Rupp Top Gun outriggers, Furuno Color fish finder, 24 mile radar, 2 Icom VHF radios, optional new 545 garmin GPS/fishfinder, Gaffrig guages, 45 gal live bait well, salt water washdown, battery charger, (3) 90 degree Lee and CJ swivel rod holders and 10 others not including 6 on t-top, 350 Mercruiser I/O with Bravo III outdrive with 1000 hours, many recent parts (alt, starter, belt, serviced injectors, trim tab switch, 2 elec reel plugs w/ 100 amp breaker), Double axle trailer with new axles, hubs, winch post and winch. All in very good condition.

All in all she's a great boat and would make somebody very happy. If anyone is interested, PM me. We'll consider all reasonable offers as well.

SOLD

Thanks for looking!

Nice looking rig...just wondering why you're selling? What's the new boat going to be?

Thanks for the question and the compliment bluefinblues, we're selling only because we're trying to get a used Northern Bay 25' with a diesel I/O - we would like a boat with a cabin & heater and one with canyon range, which the Northern does b/c the diesel really sips the fuel. But it also comes on a trailer so we are also looking to have the ability to move around, which we do time to time. The Seacraft is an awesome boat though, we've been out in some fairly bad weather and never once were we concerned with her stability and agility. It'll be sad to see her go, but we need a boat we can overnight on easily and one that can reach the deep, and a boat on which we can easily boat and store a giant.

Bassriver, That's what I thought...your 23's a great ride for a Cape fisherman. Your new requirements are mine as well! Albin 26 (no cabin) or a Carolina Classic 25 is what I've narrowed it down to. Good luck, Steve

Hey Steve, those are two great choices, I really like both boats, the Albin is nice we've looked at them up close on the Cape and I was very impressed; also like the Carolina, I know a fellow fisherman who just got one and swears by it..where you looking to buy?

Thanks for the tip tunatango123, I finally found out the way to post it on classicseacraft (I think that's the same site you are referring to) so it is a much more directed forum, we'll prob get more interest, especially come springtime

Can't believe that she is still available. With these gas prices this will make someone a very capable, economical fishing machine.
Good luck with the sale!
