I've gone to find myself. if I should return before I get back please ask me to wait
You are correct. Shamrock molded all of their keel hulls in 2 halfs..only way to get the keel out of the mold..and glasses and epozxied them together. The innder liner is composed one one main section and other modular sections which make accessing the hull of the boat actually possible. The deck cap is one piece and the roof is another...
Dale...how much $$ do you need?

In boats this size with the rising price of diesel, it is pretty much a toss up. The original 210 cummins that were an option engine for these boats burned 7 gallons per hour versus 8-10 for a gas engine. It takes alot of fuel to pay for the 100% price difference between a gas engine and a diesel one.
Thanks for the comments!

i don't remember the web address but there is a shamrock owners forum out there. i listsed my dad's 26 mac on it and actually had callers trying to bid up the price after we had a deposit on the boat. you might want to give it a try.
Draft on this boat is 24"...run confidently in under 3 feet of water with no fear of damaging anything. You can't do that with a straight inboard or a 26' outboard powered boat with hydraulic tilt engines. They do not tilt up when you hit the bottom. You can also run her up onto the beach and back off (as long as the tide does not go down.). Thanks for the FTC hint....I have been a member for a while now.

Is the fuel tank original in this boat, and are the two sets of splash guards on the hull an add on by you and if so how are they attached? What does the boat have for fish hold ? And what do you do for a live well if anything? Thanks Bill
Yes, the fuel tanks (2-52 gallons) are original. Shamrock installs the tanks in wells outboard and slightly aft of the engine. The wells have drain holes that drain into the bilge so that there is no accumulation of infiltration. If the access hatches are sealed well, no water gets into the compartment. There are full removalble hatch covers over each tank compartment. I pull the hatch every season and inspect the tanks, which are NOT fully foamed in, which has been proven to promote corrosion as I experienced when I replaced the 1972 fuel tank in my 17 Mako back in 2000. I had the tanks professional cleaned when I bought the boat in 2005 to ensure that I would have no problems associated with the E-10 gasoline thrust upon us in 2005. The boat has a large center fish box about 30" wide and 4.5 feet long and 12" deep. I once stuffed a 5' Mako into it, but typically use large coolers as the fish box drains into the bilge. I do not have a live well on the boat as live bait is not real popular where I am in NJ as opposed to Florida and other places where live bait is the top producer. The spalsh guards are "Smart Rails". They are attached by 2-sided epoxy tape and 2-part epoxy. They are on there for good. I had installed a set on a previous Shamrock that I owned and had to cut off the aft 2 feet or so. I used a sawzall and grinder, but never got the part glued to the hull off.

Thanks for the compliment. The beam is 8'-0". The hull exceeds the magical "length to beam" ratio of 3:1 for good sea keeping abilities. Long and skinny runs much better than short and fat.
No, I do not have a trailer.
