31 bertram ( price reduced) (now without engines you select power)
31 Bertram twin Cummings 6bta diesels 0 hours. completely rebuilt (motors were sold to me as 2000 year motors with 67 hrs by the time I got around to put them in the boat they had some rust in the cylinders so I had them rebuilt) including new injectors, injector pumps , alternators ,belts , hoses, etc. every piece of chrome refinished including outrigger holders. new Hz clutches with extra large coolers. every through hull fitting replaced. new stuffing boxes, hydraulic steering, shaft logs, batteries, battery charger, props, fuel tank cleaned and inspected. boat was painted in 2003 teak decks added bridge refiberglassed to cover old gauges and holes and all new gauges added, new steering wheel, electronics box added. boat has hard top and closed in 2003 with new side windows and back windows. interior was replaced in 2003 new overhead liner, dinette, walls, cab nits, draws , teak deck inside and out. all teak was layed the old way in strips and caulked, cushions were done in white with black piping as it came from the factory has been out of the water from 2003 till now and inside a building as it was being rebuilt for most of the time. the list goes on and on . have over 120000 in parts not counting labor or the hull I paid 25000 for. bottom line is this project has gone on too long. I am out of time and money to finish her. it needs the wiring finished, new a/c, stove, generator, fresh and salt water pumps and headliner in vberths. I know this doesn't sound like a lot but my practice is demanding all my time and I cant get it finished .there is one catch. whoever buys it must promise me a ride when they finish. Will post some pictures when I can go down and take some. I have been trying for a month. from the outside it looks finished but the inside shots will show it is still a work in progress boat. I am willing to take a loss to a good home. I will sell for 100,000 (price reduced to $85,000) APRIL 2010 **** ENGINES REMOVED YOU SELECT THE POWER YOU WANT THE REST OF THE BOAT IS RESTORED NEW EVERYTHING. $ 35,000.

Reason: engines removed new price
Interested in hearing more...is this a Flybridge or Sportfish? When you did the decks over did you replace all the under deck supports? What condition are engine beds and what hp are the Cummins? Any other mods below deck?
sorry, I have been out-of-town. the boat is a flybridge. we replaced the deck supports that needed replacing. the engine beds were modified by the engine people. motors are 250 hp. I wanted fuel economy, for long offshore trips. mechanic tells me I should get 24 knot cruise , should know thursday at sea trail. if true that is about all you can normally run in average seas, comfortably. I am told to expect 12 gph. if this is true it should cost 1/3 as much as my 38 Topaz and get the same speed. That is hard to beat.
Sounds like a great boat and close to being finished. I can say after redoing my 31, the things you have listed that need to be done are no big deal. Good luck with the sale!
thanks seanile for your kind words. I HAVE SEEN YOUR PICTURES. you have the best looking 31 I have ever seen. mine not that nice but could be ,most of the work is done. GEOKAT, THE CAMERA IS IN MY CAR SHOULD HAVE PICTURES UP AFTER THIS WEEKEND, IF I CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THEM FROM MY CAMERA TO THE WEB SITE. would have them sooner but this weekend is opening day of deer season in Alabama. A MAN MUST UNDERSTAND HIS PRIORITIZES.
here are a few pictures, battery gave out after these few shots. sorry boat has not been washed in 4 months.deer season is in in Alabama and it is hard to give up weekend to wash and clean teak to take better pictures. just thought I could give a basic idea of stage of remodel. If anyone is seriously interested I will get better pictures. have never sent pictures hope this works.
