How does the Parker 25 MV compare to Grady? I've heard that Parker has a kind of rough ride in choppy conditions, however, I've never spoken to a Parker owner on the issue. Your boat looks great and I look forward to seeing more pics.
Hi. I'm in Canton. What is the cruise and top speed? My friend has a 23 Parker with the f250 which can cruise at 30. I have to think this boat will be slower. I'm wondering how much.
JSR, not to start a territorial debate, but the conditions in the Northeast are always choppy. I am on the south side of the Cape and a great day is 1 to 2 foot chop. 2 to 3 is the norm and it is not unusual to be out in 4 to 5 foot seas. Once you go outside of Martha's Vinyard or Cape Cod Bay you get the big 6 to 8 foot rollers. Boats smaller than 20 feet are not recommended by any honest dealer. The Parker is very popular here.
Thanks. That is a very interesting spec sheet. I'm guessing the engine is most comfortabel around 4000 rpm. Those fuel burn numbers are fantastic. Seems like a very ecinomical boat. If I recall correctly, the deadrise is around 18 or 20 degrees on this model, right?
14 degree deadrise on this pretty and economical boat. Makes for a very stable pleasant fishing platform. Trim tabs and speed control make for a great ride in chop too. Sorry for chiming in about this boat; I just sold mine that was similar.
Thanks Parkersal. Congrats on your sale. This boat is the last year of the standard cabin MV hull avaible with the full transom / bracket / fishbox. In 2005 Parker introduced the "SL" model, no longer available with that option. I wanted the MV hull / standard cabin and didn't want the notched transom, therefore my boat is one of the last (if not the last) produced with that configureation.
