Random Quote: Creeps and idiots cannot conceal themselves for long on a fishing trip
We did all the work ourselves including the paint work so I am not sure what the cost really would be for the paint job. I do know when shopping around before we took on the project quick quotes were in the 15-20K range. I never pressed them so I am not sure if they were pie in the sky prices or not.
$100-$125/foot is a good estimate for Awlgrip on the Panhandle...I'm sure costs vary in other areas and they also vary with the condition of the hull before the painting...the smoother it is, the less prep is required, the lower the final cost.
Hey Harry...is that 100-125/foot figure for inside cockpit and hull sides, or just outside of boat. I was thinking of getting mine redone, and the cost to redo the gel coat on the hull bottom and sides seems to be about 100 per foot.
Hey Harris, John and Harry, why don't you guys take your banter offline and let SeaNile try to sell his boat here. Why don't you guys get each others phone numbers and you can talk all night.
Nice ride SeaNile.
Perfect weather forecast for this weekend and the last ride/outing of the season for me. Calling for showers and 42....and remember I haven't had the bridge canvas made yet. Gonna be a cold ride but I have a full crew who is ready, always looking at the bright side, they claim with the cold weather they will need less ice for the beer!
Last chance if anyone wants a look before the boat is pulled and shrink wrapped for the winter.
Hmmm, let's see. One of a kind, high quality, meticulously rebuilt Bert or a POS cookie cutter Proline that will never see 30 years of service...good luck buddy.
I really do need to sell this boat before my wife kills me! I've tried THT, Ebay and a few other sites and get a lot of emails but no one is serious yet. I've got the to-do list going and counting down the days to get her back in the water if she doesn't sell before April...and that is driving the wife nuts!!
