Thanks. Kind of bummed to see it go, OK, really bummed, but it will be good to be boatless for the next few years with such a young family, new house, etc. Now I have to figure out what to hyperfocus on, jet skis, tv, yard work? And what about the net....I doubt "www.thelawntruth" will be anything like this place!
I know it's tough to let a boat like this go. Your family needs to appreciate your sacrifice.....especially in another few years when you are looking to buy again.
So, will the next one be a project boat as well?
I've watched this boat listing for a long time---was hoping to win a lottery here in florida so I could purchase your rig and bring it down to the florida keys (Islamorada--FISHING CAPITAL OF THE WORLD)--was going to invite George Bush Sr. who comes down every year to fish the Redbone tournament here to spend the day on her--I know there's no way he would have refused once he saw her--I am happy with the consolation boat I purchased--1974 chris craft tournament fish completely refurbish/updated with everything replaced--like the hundreds of others that had their WET DREAMS of owning her and watching your listing--SHE IS ONE BEAUTIFUL GIRL---wondering though who was the lucky SOB that got her and where's she going???-----
Believe it or not the deal was suppose to be completed Thursday but the marine documentation company handling the paperwork was hit by Ida on Thursday and Friday leaving them with no power to email the paperwork. Hopefully all is well with the flooding, etc., and they can email the paperwork to me on Monday so I can sign and FedEx back for Tuesday delivery and money will be wired same day.
Only in this economy would a boat like this take so long to sell. I hope it goes through and you are satisfied with the transaction. She's a real stunner. Best of luck with your future endeavors.
You guys don't even want to know.....guy in NC who does not fish, just wants to sit at the dock and occasionally go for a cruise.

I have followed this boat from the beginning. I had a hard time not going down to see it. Had I gone down and looked at it I would have been in the game. Sad to see it go off the site. Time to find a new girlfriend !

That's insane. Kinda like buying a tricked-out Harley and using it to ride to the mailbox and back.
Shoot me a PM with his name and address....that way when he's tired of the booze cruise routine, I can take it off his hands and use it what it was meant for.
I'm at OBX, if it's coming down here I'll gladly take pics every few weeks and email so you can curse at the upkeep she's receiving. Ha, just kidding, I've been following on a different username for years. If it's down here I'll convince the guy to take it to the gulfstream.

Yeah it's been sitting at the dock in my hometown for about 3 weeks now. When I saw it go by the waterfront I couldn't believe it. The boat looks great in pictures but even better in person. As others have said great job on the restore!
That had to be a long ride from PA to NC or was it shipped down?
Congrats on the sale John.... IF my stamas ever sells, I'll be in touch with you to get the new owner's contact info.... That boat needs to be killing Wahoo in Barbados, not sitting unused in a marina. Best regards, Martin.
Congrats on the sale. I will be missing this thread being bumped to the top. It was started long before I even registered and that was years ago. Not much of a 'poster' here on THT, but check in every day to 'Boats For Sale' to see what I am missing and to day dream.
I've actually had dreams, not the day type either, of this boat, which, outside this group, may seem strange.
I'll also miss 'SeaNile' 's sense of humour and inspirational patience with regard. He sure knows how to maintain the even strain!
the posts actually start at the end so scroll all the way to the end and come back up if you are interested.
this was the trip down.. didn't have a great camera and it was a spur of the moment trip on Thanksgiving day so i wanted to do something to keep my relatives at home posted. Mechanical problems as described within seemed a little worse at the time then they actually ended up being.
this is a great tool for keeping an eye on boat mechanics coming and going.
to the fellow in Nags Head.. I am hoping to have the boat at Thickett's Lump Feb 20 for a few weeks to try to catch some decent weather and the end of the striper season.
to the fellow in washington...look me up, i'll give you a tour or a ride.
