Since I have has a numer of questions regarding the age of the motor, I figured I would clear it up. The motor is a 2002. The boat was a left over and I am the second owner. The first owner fractured his back shortly after he pruchased it. As a result, he had the motor fogged and the it sat in his garrage for over 2 years before he decided to sell it. The boat had 9 hours when I purchased it. A Yamaha tech used a camera to check out the inside of teh cylinders and intakes before I bought it and said eveything looked brand new. I generally use about 2 - 3 times a month for short runs from Tampa Bayside Marina to Weedon Island (about 15 min). But with our second child on our oldest wanting to go on the boat with daddy, I cant justify a flats boat anymore.
