2004 CONTENDER 23 Open 23' 3" Immaculate boat with tons of options. Powered by a 2004 Yamaha 225hp 4 stroke with 125 hours. Bought new in November of 2005. One owner. Options: Fresh water shower, saltwater washdown, filet table, custom t-top with custom made electronics box with flush mounted Furuno FCV600L depth finder with through hull transducer, Lowrance globalmap 5200c color gps/chartplotter with florida/bahamas chip, and ICOM vhf. Trim Tabs, two batteries with onboard battery charger, Taco Outriggers, Fluorescent light under t-top with front and rear spreader lights. CD player with hookup for MP3 player. 150 gallon fuel tank. Boat gets 3+ miles per gallon. Included is a 2006 Rocket dual axle trailer with 4 wheel brakes. Engine warranty through November 2008. Reason for selling is considering moving up to bigger boat.

The cruising speed is 30mph at 4000 rpm. Top speed is 45mph at 5400rpm. Those speeds are with a fairly heavy load. 2-3 people and about 120 gallons of fuel. As far as gallons per hour, I'm not sure. Based on miles traveled on the gps I have been consistently getting over 3mpg. Hope that helps.
