Default 2007 CS 218DLV w/ 2007 Suzuki 115 hp 4-stroke

2007 Carolina Skiff 218DLV ( 20' 10" long, 96" beam, 26' tall gunnel), 2007 Suzuki 4-Stroke 115HP EFI Outboard ( Power Trim & Tilt, Marine Starting Battery, 3 Year Warranty, Will push this boat over 40MPH). Factory installed upgrades include Black Bimini Top, 27 Gallon Gas Tank, Deluxe Console with built in rod holders, Stainless Steel Propeller, and Quick Disconnect Windshield. I've added a new Minn Kota RipTide ST80 Copilot Autopilot Trolling Motor, Minn Kota Quick Release Mount, Minn Kota MK220 Charger, and 2 ACDelco Voyager Batteries. Also includes 6oz. Poly-Guard Boat Cover. All this sits on a 2007 Road King ALUMINUM Drive-On Trailer. Boat was purchased in early December and has approximately 12hrs and motor has been broke-in per manual instructions. Everything is Like New and there are no mechanical problems to worry about. This is an Awesome Boat and regrettably have to sell because sudden changes in work and family obligations will severally limit its use. Price is $18,500 and if your interested please Email me at abrudisill@charter.net.

How does it handle chop compared to the original v series? Do you have any rpm/speed numbers with that motor? Where are you located in North Carolina?

Boat is definately set up nice. Looks good. I've actually been looking at the 23 at Ed's because there is little price difference between the 21 and 23. I just have not been able to talk to anyone that has either to advise how they really ride in the chop. I was on CS website and one owner said they still ride quite hard. Have you had yours long enough to have it in rougher water?

This is my first Skiff, so I can not compare with any of the other series. Boat is located in Hickory, N.C. I had it out on Lake Norman the last Sunday of January and the wind was something fierce. The main channel gets pretty rough when the wind picks up and the 218DLV handled it fine. It was by no means a smooth ride but I felt comfortable and stayed dry. I have been in the same type of conditions in some 20ft bass boats that rode twice as bad and got soaked to boot.

The Elite series has an inner linner, built in gas tank, and more accessories. It weighs about 400lbs more than a standard DLV and cost a lot more.
