Boat has been kept under cover since new, and used carpet on the deck to protect from dive gear. Has raised many a Marlin with our little secret trolling trick.
Fished the boat this weekend and completely forgot to take some new pictures. Here are a few from past trips that show some of the boat.
Our outboard motor trolling technique will only be passed on with the boat.
Well, maybe share it for a price.
Shark was a 265# Mako. Box marked "guns" holds about 3 gaffs, 3 scrub brushes, 6 spearguns, and plenty other stuff. Box marked "tanks" can hold 7 scuba tanks and a few lifejackets used for padding. Coaming pads were re-covered a few years ago, and look better than the originals.
You can see the new Yam fourstrokes in the pic with the Warsaw.
I'm the only one in the pic from BR, and I spend more time in Grand Isle so I'd say I'm 3/4 coonass. The other 2 are from Houma, so you know they are 100%.
Coonass (****-ass) n., a Redneck with webbed feet, a cast-iron stomach, and a much higher tolerance for alcohol.
Andy - Man you get engaged and the fiancee makes you buy a bigger boat! How nice is that.
I don't know about Andy, but I can attest that his future father-n-law is a bonified ****-ass. You can hardly understand what he is saying. He will also literally eat anything. He braggs about eating "Reef Donkeys (AJ's)" & "Sea Carp (Kings)". Must be an acquired taste.
Seriously, I hear you are getting a Topaz. That's a great boat. Good luck on the sale. See you at the wedding-you can let me know what the marlin trick is there.
Jeff
Well, let's just say they are not the most sought after meat fish here in SC. Although it's interesting that one of my fishing buddies loves barracuda & keeps a least one each time. We make sure he has a separate cooler for his fish.
Thanks Jeff. Bring me some AJ meat when you come down for the wedding. We don't eat the "Alabama Wahoo" (kings) here. They are full of Mercury. I do love an AJ burger.
Narrowed it down to 2 different 37' Topaz. Sea trial on the second one on Sunday. Should be making decisions next week.
Thanks Sidney, the feeling is certainly mutual. We will take care of your girl. She'll be just on the other side of the river in God's Country anytime you want to come see her!
