PDLBOATER,
The boat is in storage for the winter near Lewes, DE. During the season, I fish out of Ocean City, MD. I don't blame you for passing up a boat powered by Fichts, way to many horror stories. The Yamaha has been great. Let me know if you would like more info or additional pictures. I can be reached at (410)375-5267.

Just saw an '07 222 at the boat show for $65000. Get this lightly used Grady loaded with options for less than 50% of the cost of a new Grady...

No there is no head in the console due to having auxillary fuel tank. The auxillary fuel tanks holds 48 gallons. Hope this helps...

Yes, my sister in laws bladder won't hold 48 gallons and it needs to go somewhere so my brother will have to keep looking.
Thanks
Greg

am seriously considering a GW 222. But with yamaha's notorious "under - rated" output how's this perform at average weight and conditions?

GWC3,
I believe that the 225hp is a perfect combination for the boat. With 2-3 anglers, 150 gallons of fuel, 80lbs of ice, and mics other gear the boat will cruise at 27-28 mph (3800-3900 rpms). I've only run the boat wide open once and it hit 47mph in a flat bay. If you have any other questions, give me a call. The 222 is a great boat but my wife is pushing for a walk around.

The boat is still for sale. There are approximately 300-350 hours on the 225hp and less than 30 hours on the 9.9hp kicker. I just extended the warranty on the kicker engine for another 3 years and the warranty is transferable. It includes a 2005 Venture trailer that has been in the water 6 times. The boat can be seen nearly anytime. If you have any other questins, give me a call at (410)375-5267.

The boat is now in the water and ready for sea trial. Fresh bottom paint, hull is waxed, fuel tanks filled and new batteries. Come and get it... Any questions I can be reached at (410)375-5267 or ddengler27@yahoo.com.

Thanks for the endorsement GWC3. The 222 is a great boat that can handle it all. My wife wants a walkaround and has given me the green light to look at a Gulfstream. Make me an offer before she changes her mind
