How about a trade + cash for a restored/customized classic Mako 224 CC with new power?
Everything on the boat has been redone, (electrical, plumbing, etc) and it's one of the older hulls (1987), built like a tank. The engine is a 2005 225 optimax, it gets almost 4 mpg at a 30 mph cruise and will top out around 48 mph with a light load.

Boat? That's a freakin' Command Post. Too bad the FWC/Customs seizes their fast movers for the fleet. This monster would look the balls in gray, with a blue light rack.
Laser,
That has got to be the nicest Mako I've ever seen. And I think I've seen a pile. Curious, what would you ask for a flat out cash sale?
RE: Rare 33' Predator twin 250hp Suzuki 4 strokes TAKE A LOOK.
Nautidiver,
Apologies for my slow reply. I have been in the process of relocating my business, selling a home, and completing construction on a new home, along with moving. It's been hell, but things are simmering down. I am going to check out the pics on ebay, and I am planning to take a trip to Port Orange FL at the end of the month or the first week of Oct., and I'd love to take a ride south for the day and see the boat. Would it be available for sea trial?
Doug,
Thanks for the compliments. I have a lot of long hours and $$$ into getting everything just right. Hard to say what it might be worth in this type of market. If the ClassicMako site was up I could get some better opinions. The boat's an '87 with a 2005 Merc 225 optimax with 300 or so hours. All the electrical panels, rigging and wiring you see have been done in the past 18 months. This summer, the boat got all new pumps, the bilge has been completely replumbed. (all new thru-hulls, seacocks, hoses, etc.) Also relocated the batteries to the console and replaced EVERY wire in the boat, including the battery cables/switches. etc. The only thing that needs help is the trailer. It's fine for my twice a year 15 mile haul, but I wouldn't tow it down the coast without redoing the axles and brakes. It does have brand new wheels and tires though.
If I keep it, it's getting a custom t-top this winter, for sure.

Laser,
Hope you are keeping it. I always feel bad when guys restore boats or those classic cars they love, and then have to sell, eating a lot of money, time, elbow grease, sweat and love, that can't be recouped in an appraisal that doesn't reflect all that.
I live in Port Orange, buy you lunch at "Our Deck Downunder", opposite the ramp @ Dunlawton bridge, do you know it ? The best fish sandwich in town. I have a 17' Whaler (82 year model) and would gladly launch for a cruise if you are not bringing your boat. Just had a powerhead rebuild and it's in the shop for it's 20hr head re-torque, final lync and sync and a new heart (oil/fuel pump)..........................
