It was decent, nothing spectacular, i was nailing some very nice snook right off the dock, ended up with some dolphin small, wahoo, did some deep dropping and got a very nice queen snapper and some smaller groupers, a tripple tail just hangn out on the top and we almost had a huge shark on...
I guess thats no too bad, but we were out for Marlin... It was a very nice weekend...
You should try up there in late April or Early May. The tuna fishing above the corner is good and then you can slide down the bank for wahoo a little later in the day.
Let me know the next time you come up we can fish or just hang out at the Square Grouper for a beer or 20.

I'm a huge fan of this model Hydra-Sport, the hull that is. I love its comfortable ride. My main question is about the HPDI's. I've talked with many people who have owned them and they all say once you get the recall items updated the motors are worry free. Has this been your expirence? Also, how is the oil consumption?

I REALLY CAN'T BELIEVE THIS BOAT IS AROUND, someone needs to give this boat a home, its been dealer maintained since new. nothing halfassed on this boat. i've seen it and would love to own it however i need a cabin. this will definatly not disapoint anyone, andyes i've seen it up close real close.

Akula,
Once the HPDI's had the updates done and are set up correctly they are an awesome motor. I have had zero problems with the motors. Only warranty items I have had replaced were two remote oil pumps, on the boat, not the motors. The motors are stingy on the oil. They get around 45-55 to 1. The motors are under Yamaha warranty until March of 2009.
If you come look and ride on the boat you won't be dissapointed!

Big Ed these are the ultimate CC's on the market IMO. Genmar & FLW are doing everything they can to screw their own customers with the rules of the FLW. I know some don't understand how this affects the price of boats, but when you only have a demand for these boats from FLW tournament fishermen, they can't use a used boat. Then, folks like yourself have to take a beating on them just to move one.
You have a nice ride & I wish you luck in moving it. I have ridden on a lot of CC's & NOTHING rides like the 33 HS. Everyone should know that FLW is imposing a model year requirement for the Genmar contingencies for the new season.
Big Ed what kind of range do you see with this boat. I was looking at another 33 listed on THT. He was saying that he got no more than 350 miles of range. He also has Yam 300 HpDI's I think. Thanks.

Sorry to hear they are imposing a year requirement. Regardless this is a great fishing machine with plenty of seating and drink holders to take the family for a booze cruise in comfort.
As for range I've never pushed it but you should be able to get 450 miles easy at a cruising speed.

Thanks Anthem.
I actually saw you a couple weeks ago out there. I was on a buddy's sportfisher and you were trolling by. Love the looks of your boat, hope it sells soon.
