Default CaptJohnny at 'The Sand Bar' and some Hudson River pics

I took my boat on a Hudson River cruise a couple weeks back with my girlfriend and on the way back spent a few days docked at Liberty Landing Marina on the NJ side of NY harbor. While there I met CaptJohnny and Fin Addict 2. I was docked on the other side of the canal from CaptJohnny and spotted him at the waterfront bar which happens to be called 'The Sand Bar' one evening and took the first pic before he came over to pick me up by boat for what turned out to be a late night of boating and fishing talk and lots of drinks

First picture is CaptJohnny's Fountain, 2nd is the view from my flybridge towards Manhattan while docked at Liberty Landing. Others show West Point, my Blackfin docked at Rondout Yacht Basin 72 nautical miles north on the Hudson, and some of the Hudson River scenery.

John

Hey,it's nice to see where I live and boat on this forum. My marina is about 4 miles north of Bannermans Island (pic #7) I also see Storm King Mountain (pic #8) and Break neck Mountain (pic #6 & 7) The Roundout is a nice trip.

Yep, it was a real nice trip. I'm on the south shore of LI and this is the 3rd time doing a Hudson River trip, but never went north of Bannerman's Island before. We rafted up with some friends over the weekend in the cove by Bowline point, then headed up to Rondout for a night before going back south to Liberty Landing.
