The Admiral does not like the water coming deck on the back deck, so I need to figure out a way to drain it towards the front. We were at the home show and this guy had a gutter type system but it is a small deck. I was thinking of using some sort of corrugated sheets and then drill holes in the front for the water to drain. What does everyone think. Any ideas. Thanks.
About 15 years ago I needed a place to store my rubbish barrels in a place that wouldn't ice-up in the winters. I installed a 4x8 sheet of plywood covered in tar paper under the deck with a slight pitch toward the front of the deck for water run-off. Now looking at the photo I need to add a few more screws on the house end. I think the siding guys loosened that end last Fall.
kingair,
I had a similar problem and I put down rubber on the deck above like they use in showers before they put down tile. Then I covered it with carpet. seems to be working fine so far dont know if that helps your problem but that is what we had to do. Good luck!
screw corregated sheets to increasing thicker blocks as you go from the house out. put gutter at the end. we have done this with good results. bmail me if this does not make sense. hard for me to describe typing.

How about some waterproofed canvas attached to the bottom of your joist. Tight across the joist close to the house and a little looser at the outside edge to create a little pitch. You will need the canvas cut in a trapezoid.

Which idiot told you that CO2 only makes up 0.039% of the atmosphere?
Buy some soffitt, Mount J track around the perimetr of the deck at a slight slant towrds the end of the deck. Mount the soffit, then install a gutter at the end underneath the soffit. Thye water will flow down the soffit and into teh gutter.

Worked at my cottage
Easy to install and easy to clean
Make sure you wash it with large volume of water as leaves and pine needles like to get between the deck and soffit . . . same problem with most systems
