mole2 - 6/11/2006 1:19 AM ComProp? I had one come apart on me. Sent it back and they sent me a new one. I noticed the model number had a different letter on it so there must have been a change. Is yours a ComProp? It does have a lifteime guarantee if it is.
it is piranha with a life time guarantee, but would they ship it overseas free?

I had one of those (Pro-Pulse) do the same thing..
ONLY use those as a backup/emergency prop and go straight to the docks with it... Get a good stainless prop and don't look back!

Haven't been on the water much though. With the admiral about to pop, I've been doing honey do's and projects like baby room, refinishing furniture and such..

The few boater that I know that has tried useing the plastic composition props did not keep them very long . For shallow water use aluminum and keep a spare or two . For speed and deep open water go with stainless steel .
"throwing blades" is when the prop and boat becomes airborne and re-entering the water @ 6000+rpms creates enough torque to break them off. Common with "worked" props but never seen all 3 go at once. You are my idol

Lucky thing that you were using a Piranha, otherwise the lower unit damage would be extensive! Piranha does offer a lifetime hub warranty, and given the damage, I would take advantage of that. Blade channels could be loose after a significant impact, and future blades would be more likely to break.

blueh20pc - 6/17/2006 7:47 PM Buy a SS, then send the Plastic back for replacement and keep as a spare. Composite = fancy name for plastic. Glad you got back, around here 1000 feet of water means a 45 mile ride home.
I always have extra props thanks god, I was a day and a half from home
