Let me ask another dumb question, why can you not gaff stripers.

If you are going to keep the fish why does it hurt

The fish may have to be released for not only being under-size, but there is a max size limit as well.

Born and raised on Solomon's Island...... Is the Tiki Bar still there? How did Richard Fischer's place (Lighthouse something...restaurant) make out after the fire?

We didn't even have a gaff on the charter boats, just incase someone tried to use it........

Ohhhh yea the Tiki is very much alive and well! No, Richard lost his place the Lighthouse Inn along with Bowens Inn which had been there forever..that was a very sad day. If you go to thebaynet.com, you will see stories on both.

SHHHHHHHHHHHHH, we have enough of them down here as it is

Do ya'll have a slot limit up there or is there just a min length?? and if it is over the limit I still do not understand why you can not gaff it, I know a net works better but still have not figured it out.
We have size limits on most all saltwater fish down here but we can still gaff as long as it is legal
