Took advantage of the semi-warm weather yesterday and drowned some minnows. The fish were'nt biting for me. When this guy shows up and catches one right beside me. I did manage to catch a catfish, and avoided the skunking.

That guy is a Great Blue Heron and one badd asss bird. He'll make Swiss Cheese out of anybody in the way way of His Fish! I saw one drill a hole right thrugh a pelican on the docks last year. Dropped in a single strike. You should have seen it, Pow right in the head and plop...... My favorite bird. The only better fisherman is an osprey.

That is a Great Blue Heron, plenty of them around here. Their rookery is a mile from my house and from what I've been told there are only two heron rookerys on the east coast. One here and one in Florida. Also, heres a shot of the cat singing.

I got those Herons in the pond in my back yard. Lookin' out my back window last year and saw one use his bill to spear a bass and pick it apart.
