That is absolutely criminal of you to send those photos to those of us who live where the winter temps routinely stay below freezing and the lakes are frozen over and , and, and. Beautiful pictures, I can see why people would love to live there.

I went out on my lunch hour for a cruise! I couldn't stand being land bound any longer.
Actually Doug, I was very surprised just how clear the water is today considering that there have been gale foce winds for the past 7 days.
I was out at low tide and saw reef heads I have never seen before in the channel going down to Crow Lane!!!!!! Paradise Lakes was like a bathtub, Head of the Lane and north side of Long Island bottom was gorgeous ...
Hey classsic25 - You got a lotta nerve coming over here and not telling anyone! Were you at Grotto Bay? Where you here on business or pleasure?
Those boats are pointing just west of north so yeah it was a colder day. See the whitecaps in the distance?
That area over the bailey bridge (to the right of it) is slowly being replanted into a proper park. It was fiormally used as an offroad motocross track. I heard from a member of the Parks commission just this afternoon that most of the endemic plantings have been thriving over there. Eventually, those tall Casurina evergreen looking trees will be cut down when the Cedars are 7-10 feet tall.
Jalacity, we are actually coming out to share in your winter misery in less than 2 weeks. We will be in CO for a bit of snowboarding.
Classic25, It looks like you stayed at the Grotto Bay Hotel. We raftup a little off their beach every once in awhile, swim ashore & sample the products of their bar.
Looking at a satelite pic this evening it looks like we will be in for SOS weather tomorrow. Today was avery pleasant break.
Ok that is it, give me the names of any IT companys on the island I can either partner with or work for, because I would take a cut in pay to live in an area like that.
Auguste, I don't think you can complain too much about your winter this year. My daughter was supposed to go snowboarding at Dagmar today. They might have had some slush to ride on.
beautiful pictures. I donīt mean to brag but here in Puerto Rico we boat year round. I was atually at the beach having a Corona on December 23. Temperature was in the high 80s. Sorry, everyone!!!

You do not sound very sorry
Doug
We have had a mild winter for being this far north . . . I have 3 ft snow banks and 4 inches of water in the parking area . . . a strange winter this year
Doug - I'll be there in a month with my "bride" for her 4oth combined with a business trip. I'd like to put in an order now for some nice weather please!
We'll be the crazy ones swimming in the ocean that all the locals laugh at - still, the water will be warmer than what we get in the summer. Any secret local spots for beaching it?? I usually go for biz only but will have more free time this year.

Ccguy, if the hotel concierge tells you Horsehoe Bay, don't go there. It is in fact , in 2 of the pics but there are other beaches IMO far nicer & only a few steps away from Horsehoe Bay. Here's a couple of them. No concession stand. No umbrellas. A little walk to get to. No other people likely to be on the beach with you especially weekdays cause all the sheep go to Horseshoe Bay which is only a few hundred yards away from these.
If you get bored with beaching & stuff I should be about into bottom painting mode by mid April. I could get a roller & handle with your name on it.
