Bruce,
I went today too and agree the SP 26 was the boat. I spent the most time on it and have a bunch of pics as well. It was my first time on one and have the spec sheet for the 26 and 28 in front of me now.
The 28 Express to be released in August! GW better get going, 'cause these boats are a good value and well built.
The show price on this was good, especially compared to the Sea Fox 28. What a piece, and asking around 86K with twin zuki 225s. The fish box hatchs barely fit, were held shut by locking (why?) crap twist and pull latches and had drains 2" above the bottom of the box. The lids creaked and flexed under my 170 lbs. I know these boats are not in the same league, but for 86K, you would have to be on crack to buy the SF.
According to the factory rep SP will not have a boat in the water at Miami. If they did I would sure love to get a ride on one to see how the 22 degree deadrise rides.
Otherwise it was Rangers, pontoons, Maxums and ski boats. The Chaparrals are actually quite nice boats for the money as well.
I checked out the parker 23 WA and it seems overpriced to me at 63K. Nice boat, but costs as much or more as a 25?
Took a few pics of the SP hatches. They are 2 piece with basically a plastic liner attached, which I think looks pretty good. I was told the cutting board the slides out of the back of the leaning post has been discontinued in production. I commented that is would be good for cutting up limes, but that was about it.
I don't usually care about hatches, and there are more important things on a boat, but you can tell the SP knows that people look as this stuff now, right or wrong.
Here are a few quick pics.
