Default Bass Trip Montauk

Despite warnings of gale force winds, headed to Montuak for some Live porgy bassing.* Great day.

Hey Mike,
Great shots. Makes me want to move back, at least for the fishing and boating. That is a perfect sunrise shot, clear and crisp. No camera phone there. Who did you go out on? Me and the boys used to hit Capt Fritz on the Mistress Too every fall out of Star Island for some bassin, sharkin and tuna. Always put us into fish, every trip. But some days we were out there on standup gear for tuna in 6-8 footers. Talk about dancin around.
Hope all is well there on LI. I see the cool weather is settling in. Me, I might see another hurricane before its all said and done.

Thanks for all the comments. Hey Thoms, haven't seen you on here in a while. Hope all is well. The boat is the Capt Mark. Heavy duty 39 BHM. I have taken a few hard core cod trips with him as well. We orignally booked an offshore tuna trip, but with the Gale forecast, we had to stay inshore.

Mike,
Been busy this hurricane season. A few hits down here in FL and the big ones in the gulf have kept me working hard, even weekends (I'm the disaster planner at my company and head the crisis team). So trying to catch up on things here and on other boards. I remember you going for cod last winter. You have to be a bit crazy for that fishing. I'll take the Montauk Sweep, jigging up those bass all day. I did get a chance to run a 43' Tiara from FL to Va back in June. Cool trip, by myself, took a week. Met some nice folks along the way. Offshore tuna in any seas could turn into a chum-fest.
How's your boat down on the south side?
Hope all is well with you and the family.
Tom
