Congratulations!! It's been a long time coming and was definately worth the wait. I've always wondered something about people who build their own boats, like you and people who renovate older boats like Warthog, Ringleader and Seanile. Do you like the work or actually boating better????
Nice job! What I like about those Tolman's is that there are never two alike! Each owner puts in his own touch into it. I guess you could call it "Artistic expression"! And as far as I can see, you built a masterpiece!
nice job. nothing better than a homebuilt boat. you build exactly what you want, not what somebody else thinks that the majority of potential buyers want. you know all of the ins and outs, and can guarentee that no corners were cut (unless you cut them). great color.

That's my brother in law, Joe. I think he's six foot 4 or 5 inches. He has to bend his knees when inside the wheelhouse. Originally I had the roof up to six foot five, but it was just too high. Now it's at six foot.
Folks,
Thanks for all the kind comments. I'm happy, though tired. Last few weeks had me scrambling to finish enough of the boat for the official launch. I have more images to post and have to write up a report. But alas I'm back to work, and am still busier than a one armed paper hanger. Need to finish painting the interior, the decks etc. Need to finish installing Navman fuel meter, order a fish finder and install it, and perhaps radar and a kicker. I'm serious about getting this thing on the ocean for some fishing before the season ends, and so I'll probably hold off on some of the things I need to do for now. Rainy season is rapidly approaching and then I'll have time to work on the boat again.
The Jumbo performs well in a short chop and I think I have more than enough power. Still don't have motor height and prop dialed in, but I reached 37mph during the initial sea trials. Waiting for a calm day to dial it in better. I love the boat and can't wait for each weekend so I can get her out again. The fish are calling me.
