Sweet boat. Congratulations! I know you won't regret chosing the CC, its a beautiful boat.

We picked up a used baby CC and have only called the factory one time. All the information I was looking for was in the mailbox within 2-3 days. Very impressed!

The tractor shot is priceless!

Here is a helm pic. It has 2- Simrad cx44 displays,IS-15 depth only,AP-25 pilot and Icom 602. I am going to remote mount the mic to the port side of the helm.

Are those Simrads networked? or is one a Chart/FF and the other is a Chart/Radar?

Capt. Squiddly

The simrads are not a network system like the furuno. You can add a slave display in the tower but it will be doing the same thing as below. They will not do different functions like FF in tower and plotter at the helm.

On my boat the left display is plotter, radar and FF and is used as a dedicated FF with the plotter as backup. The right display is plotter and radar. No FF. Everything is hooked together with simnet. Much easier than NMEA. Just connect everything together with a plug in cable. Also with the simnet, you can have as many talkers as you want. Not like NMEA where it is a pain to have more than 1.

With this setup I have a backup for plotter and radar. If the radar display goes out, I just have to swap a few plugs to the other display. No big deal.

Great boat and a terrific setup. Question...I noticed that the helm has been reconfigured as mentioned in a previous posting. I have a '95 25' and want to put in a Garmin 2010c plotcharter but the only place I can place this is to the left of the helm. What is the best way to run the antenna wires. Looking at it this weekend it seems that I would need to snake them through....any thoughts on how best to do this???

Many thanks,

Termite,

I'm sure you'll love the boat. Don't know what experience you have with Classics but I used to own a 25. The things are floating tanks!

We were at Cape Lookout over Memorial Day weekend with the typical holiday crowd. We were just idling through the crowd when we heard a huge CRUNCH!!! Some guy at anchor in a houseboat had thrown it into reverse and slammed into the side of a 25 Classic that was anchored behind him.

We drove by real close to see if anyone needed help and I looked at the side of the Classic...NOT A SCRATCH! The houseboat's railing had been folded over like tin foil but you honestly could not even see a mark on the gelcoat of the Classic. I'm sure there was probably some sort of superficial damage, but I couldn't make it out from 20 or 30 feet away.

Anyway, congrats on a purty boat!

I know Im a few months behind on this thread, but I was doing some searching on the CC 25 & 28, came across this and WOW, what an amazing boat, I bet that must have been amazing lauching it for the 1st time and all.

I started out on a 35Henriques FB, then moved to a Ocean 55. (I didnt own these boats, just skipped em') and now Im FINALLY going to pick up my own. first new boat (22Bay) But I know when the time is right, a CC is in my future. (i guess i better go wet my new one first!!)

I hope your enjoying your boat as much as I enjoyed reading about it

Nice ride! You really have it set up nicely. When you get some time, post some interior pics.

I think you should take pity and not let her freeze her stern off this winter.

I have this problem with an excess of 250 lb tuna in Puerta Vallarta. When its cold its 75, hot is 87.

Meet you at the border.

I don't care how you look at it.... this is one smoking a$$ boat...termite, you have a real beauty on ya hands.

A CC 28 will be my next boat. Didn't think I'd like an open stern but the Parker 23 W/A has spoiled me.
