If anyone wants a good account of Tierra Del Fuego, read: "Sailing Alone Around the World" By Joshua Slocum. Published in 1895 or so, he was the first man to sail solo around the world. Incredible.

At about the 3:19 mark - I can't imagine the pressure that naval ship had amid ships coming over that wave with nothing underneath her front half.

wow....I might call into work sick that day if I was one of those fisherman. Tough way to make a living.

Just to stir up the pot...I think a 36' Yellowfin could do 20 knots in those two footers...
