Default new build " AMERICAN ALUMINUM MARINE 25 "

this is the new hull that is coming out of American Aluminum Marine fab shop. it is located in Gonzales and Thibodaux, Louisiana. this is their new 25' Bay boat. Finish work is immaculate. Maybe the finest bay boat in the United States. Designer and builder, Alex Gravois.

WOW! I really like that!
jessjr, congrats and best of luck with it.
The first two photos really throw me though, the first one shows a V bottom, the second shows what looks a flat bottom grid that doesn't appear again. Can you explain?
While your at it... Tell us about the hinges, I only see one on the aft bait tank. Do they use something like Tefgel on the ss fastners? What are the numbers, weight, speeds etc?
I'm gonna guess $70k ish

thanks afish, the first two photos loaded out of order. it is of the same boat, it is the grid without the bottom plate on. you can see the keel to the right. i did not take the pictures of the build in progress, thats why they are of such poor quality.

all hinges are aluminum pipe hinges, just done very cleanly and meticulously.

the boat weighs in at 4500 #'s, top end is 55 mph, cruise speed is 41 mph @ 4000 rpm burning 2.1 mpg.

"85 ish"

about 2100 man hours in the build.

Really nice. I was wondering how long it would be before I saw a build from down here on here again.

That, my friends, is a boat I would be proud to own. A Yellowfin 24 was my old fantasy boat. Now it is #2 on the list.

One of the best looking aluminum boats I have ever seen. Well done! I also like that lift.

Ahh, thanks for filling me in... WOW again, thats some kinda tin boat
How thick is the alloy on the bottom? SOB looks braced enough to get away with tin foil! I'm still curious about how they solve or get around the dissimilar metal corrosion too.

2100 man hours.... even at $50 an hour....

batteries 5 ( 3 group 27, 2 group 24 ) located under leaning post
accessible from inside the console
beam 8' 6" at the transom 9' 0" midship
