Man that sucks.. Here is a picture of the closest to snow I have seen in South Florida since I have been here.. Cold December morning but good fishing!
Here in C'ville we get a total average of 17" of snow per year, this winter we are setting on 52" with snow in the air calling for 6" - 12" in the area. Weather man is not sure how much anymore, just says its going to snow. This last snow had a bonus taking power out with the heavy stuff, VAPOWER supposed to have us up 10:00 tuesday night. We've been out since Saturday with single digit temps at night. Getting old having to deal with frozen water for the horses that average close to 10 gal water each while eating dry hay every day. Had to put new carrb on generator yesterday, now I've got to fix a leak in the well that is 240' deep. On the bright side we are looking foward to a week in June vacationing in OBX and lots of sun and boat/fishing time!
Nice and Warm here in Canada!!
shot from my dorm room - looking at the mountains where the olympics are happening on friday.. they are having to truck snow in for some events!
kinda foggy, but picture green mountains behind the grey with some white lines with green patches where the runs are
Man thats a shit load of snow! I saw snow once in my life, that was in Baltimore in I think 2002, the year of the blizzard I believe. I was there for my sister in laws wedding.
It was very pretty to look at and fun to to play in for the 3 days we were there. But I think I'll stay in SE florida where its 72 degrees and sunny out today. LOL
I dont know, Chris. It was a little chilly the other night so I put a sweatshirt on before going outside at 9 pm. It has been a tough winter down here.

I just got home from plowing for 20 hours in Crofton. What a friggin mess! What makes it difficult is there is simply no where to plow the snow to in the multi family parking lots. The snow piles are huge. I got home this morning around 2:30 and damn near got my truck stuck in my driveway trying to push thru a snow drift.

I did get stuck last night in my driveway. Got home a little after midnight and lo and behold there was a 3 ft wall of snow across the first half of my driveway. I tried to ram my Ram through it, bottomed out, and started spinning. After digging it out for about 40 minutes i finally got it unstuck, but had to park in the neighbors drive who had less snow.
Ditto on the snow piles too, there's no room to pile anymore of it. The piles are so huge it will be mid/end July before they are completely melted.
Barely made it back into work this morning. My entire road had 2-4 foot drifts across it. Couple times didn't think i was gonna make it, and that was with a 4WD Ram 2500 with Hemi and 3.73's with plenty of ground clearance.
I sincerely hope that is the last of snow for this winter!
If this keeps up, you're going to have to change the title so that we know WHICH blizzard of 2010 you're talking about. It's snowing liike crazy here in Central NC....Again!
