Default Another Pretty Day At The Ditch, Specs And Pups

I could not pass up a 60 degree January day, especially knowing snow is forcast for the next two. So off to the Hot Ditch and Cove I went. I put in the Elizabeth River about 1100 hrs and went straight to the Cove where I live baited with bull minnows for about 3 hours, water temp in the cove was about 41.5 deg. I then went closer to the Hot Ditch area with water temps of 54 deg. I caught 5 small Puppy Drum and 2 Trout 18-20 inches, all on minnows.
Had a great time and made it home by 1700 hrs. Here are some pictures from today.

Brian, is that one of the new coast guard boats that are being built by Gravois? They are a custom aluminum builder near my home town.
