Default Robalo stalls in big surf *VIDEO*

Found this video on youtube of a '78 Robalo stalled in big surf. The owner/operator is a photographer for a surf magazine and was covering an event. The engine had stalled right as the surf began to build. Not sure if its ever been posted here before but w/e.

That was at a surf spot called trestles in California. They were shooting photos during a pro contest.

It is pretty damn funny though.

even though this has been floating around for a few years and I've seen it dozens of times, I still can't help but imagine the beating that guy in the bow took. When he goes horizontal then drops...oofh.

First time seeing it. Proves that with a good boat your going to be real scared before the boat is in real danger.

That's a great video. It's been posted before, but I enjoy seeing it again.

According to the comments on YouTube, the boat is a 1978 Robalo. The song is "Inside Outside In" by Nomads OK.

That video never gets old. I've seen it 100 times, but I just noticed how bad the stern was flooded after he jumped over the 1st wave, that motor was barely above water. AWESOME

Pretty sure the bow rider was K'O'd on that one......he never popped his head up after the aerials!

Sweet.

First time for me, cool video.... Those guys took a beating... Robalos are heavy, sea worthy boats.
