These were a while back on a 55 Hatteras. Scanned so quality not so good.
A 40 Sea Ray called us that one day as they did their best to stay in our wake. We were keeping an eye on them, every few waves, they'd disappear in the troughs then show up again. As we got to Wrightsville, they finally answered the radio and told us they submarined the bow with the windshield vent open, so we decided to run them into Masonboro inlet. All 3 had put on their life jackets, we were ready to keep going to Charleston. I forget if these pics were from that same day, but it was a similar day.
you mean the contenfountulater with the quads? i dont think they were in production back then...
Jeez man, don't you know anything? All you have to do is get your contenfountulater up to 88 mph, fire up the flux capacitor and you can puncture the fabric of time. One must be careful though, any more than 1.21 gigawatts can cause you to go into Guardian Mode, in which case the Lybians in the Bayliner will run you down.

I remember seas where the climb was like 15-16 knots and the slide was like 25-26 knots. Our RPM's were at about 1750 on the 53' Viking. If I remember correctly, it was either going to or coming from Havana. I think it was coming back, as fighting the Gulfstream in that garbage would have had us going much slower.
I thought it was fun! Like surfing... Interesting note: coming back from Havana to Marathon heading E-NE would usually be about an hour quicker, as we would not be putting up with everything the 'stream has to offer. One time when it was flat we flew home in like 5 1/2 hours... Goooood times~
I had huge following rollers in the Gulf Stream once yaers ago when running from Marathon up to Bimini on my boss's 46 HATT. Actually 3 46 HATTs were traveling together that day. On opposite sides of the swell we couldn't see each other's outriggers. Slow down to about 15 KTS going up and then hit about 26 or so on the down side. But a good ride.
ps i have a 35 Contender which is a little beast and I have to slow down to 25mph in 5' chesapeake seas. It always tickles me reading about peoples wave guestimates
