Don't know if they are still there. Last I went through that area was about '89

I believe they are gone now...you could see them from the High Rise Bridge just north of that place. I always wondered what the story was about those hulls.

They are (were?) at the Chesapeake Yachts location on the Deep Creek canal - the one that leads from the Elizabeth River to the Deep Creek/Dismal Swamp route of the ICW. You can see Chesapeake Yachts JUST on the south side of I-64 (just before it crosses the Southern branch of the Elizabeth River, heading east).

This past August when the wife and I went to OBX, there was only ONE (visible) at Chesapeake, and that was up on blocks in the main yard. Over the past 6-8 or so years, there were several more in that same yard.

Here's a site for Chesapeake Yachts - click on the link that says "PTF-5, 6, 7, 10-12, 19" for info on the oldies in the pic, I think? Looks like as of August '09, there was only one left - probably the one we saw. Good read!

Cool stuff!

Machales Navy, interesting info, thanks, always wanted to hear more info on them. Which reminds me of another Norfolk story, oh never mind, lol...
