Great looking labs, Porter is sportin the red rocket.
Here is Decoy at 5 weeks
here she is at 3 months
she is 1 year now and coming in at 77lbs. Loves water and the boat more than i do.
my wife got her for me for xmas lastyear. had a kennel send their stud chocolate to a breeder in Arkansas. had the litter and part of the studing fee was pick of litter. they brought her back and gave my wife a hell of a deal on her. her paperwork has several masterhunters in her blood line. instead of sending her off i worked with her myself. i didnt hunt over her for the 1st split of Duck season here in SC but she holds her own in the dove field. We trained her with a brittney for shooting quail. the brittney points and decoy retreves. I have no intention on getting her titles, just a bad a$$ bird dog in the field and a lap dog in the house. i truly have the best of both worlds with here. Ill get some updated pics soon.

There is no better dog to have around your kids. I never wanted my kids to be scared of the dark, and with Zeus prowling the stairs and hallways, and available at the first sign of trouble. I don't allow him on the furniture, but when he was up in one of my son's bed during a thunderstorm, and everyone is sleeping soundly...life is good
He is almost 6 years old, and his father is some type of field trial champion, and just recently I decided to try and expose him to quail hunting. He might be too old to train, but I enjoy having him out and 'if' he decides to stay in the truck, I'm good with that.
It is funny as ZEUS cleans' up nicely. At a very young age, I took the brush and hose part of the vacuum and scratched his back/butt and vacuumed all loose hair. Now when we try to vacuum the floor, he lays down in front of the vacuum (while running) until we break out the hose and attachments to scratch/vac up all loose hair (and he has lots of it ) directly off him (and he still loves it).
When my 2 boys were very young, my wife wanted to get a 'wired hair fox terrier', and I said no way (she was raised around them), the only dog I feel safe about having around our kids, their friends, and on our boat is a lab. Our neighbor has 2 of them (white), and we contacted the breeder and 2 months later, my wife purchased Zeus (now looks more yellow than white).
We are blessed with two labs, Pogie, the Chocolate Male, he's 4 1/2 and Bally, the yellow, our little girl is 3 1/2. We've had Pogie since he was 3 months and Bally since she was 8 weeks, they are best friends and the world's greatest dogs!!!!!!
Here's Sadie (l) and Maggie (r) on our Grady 19. Maggie figured out how to climb the ladder and got into the boat by herself. Sadie then figured it out too.
Sadly Maggie passed in April 2008. We've since gotten a new yellow Lab, Cody, who watched Sadie climb in on the ladder and can now do it too.
