nice. any idea what's going on with the Luna? ive seen those secret service boats in Rudee Inlet, i think they were the same boats, pretty wild looking.

I don't know the story of why those "Secret Service" boats were here.(There were three of them) I was heading back into the harbor when they were heading out.

The "Luna" on the other hand was here a few years ago for restoration work, she's a museum ship now in Boston. Here's the link for that:

i saw 3 or 4 of those SS boats running along VA beach one day. and i saw 3 or 4 of them slipping into rudee inlet in the dark with no lights on. always wanted to know what the story is with them. i figured they were some sort of Navy boats...maybe they were up here chasing Bush in his Fountain? i think he still has a fountain anyway.

yeah, the luna and i forget the sistership (sunk a while ago). they were the 2 tugs that were in the corner of the charles forever. near the MOS. they brought them out to east boston about 10-15 years ago. i think basically cut up the other one and let it die. the luna i guess finally, got some funding to get her going. oldest diesel electric tugs in the harbor, i think maybe the country. the venus was the other, they have some info on their site. cool!
