Reminds me of those old "MAD Magazine" slow motion cartoons. There has been alot of talk about the new baseballs being lively. This looks like a VERY elastic colision.

Exactly what I was thinking, that ball looks like the one my son uses in Little league - PHOTOSHOP.

they do actually look like that in slow motion hits. You can google and see awhoel bunchof examples - i think its amazing how much the bat flexes and you can see a wave travel up the bat into the hands after impact.

this is the show "timewarp" on discovery.
They show various things with highspeed cameras.

Here is an episode where they filmed a baseball being hit.
It does exactly what is pictured, not to mention, how much the bat flexes.

About 1:30 into the video, you see the baseball compress.
About 2.30 into the video, you'll see the bat flex.
