Here are a couple pictures from Sundays boat race in Clearwater FL.

Fun time. We had a good spot for viewing.

We were out on the water watching it. What an awesome race! That Geico boat is just sick!

I'd never watched the races from a boat before. I was always on the beach in Sarasota because of girlfriends, bathrooms etc...

There were a couple laps in this race where the big dogs were on the outside passing the slower guys. I swear they were within 40 yards of us.

Unbelieveable how that Geico boat runs. I could watch it all day.

Hi guys...

been getting phone calls from people who have seen some of my stuff here posted by others, so I figured it might be time to join up.

I'm not much of a fisherman-- the performance boats are my thing... good to see there is some interest in it here.

Clearwater was a fantastic race- great venue and an unbelievable spectator fleet.
As a photog, one of the best things that day was the sun was in perfect position to shoot from the beach.
(my favorite spot for races is just up from the inbound turn)
Here's a link to the Clearwater slideshow 78 of my shots from the day.

I agree, Miss Geico is one bad azz whammajamma.
Prints of this one are hanging in Marc and Scotty's offices.

Love that heat signature, gives you even more sense of the power.

How long of a lens is that you're using?

Excelent flicks. You know its a good camera when you can see the blades of the prop on an air shot.

The exhaust temp of the Lycoming turbines is 1250 degrees farenheit.

I shoot with a Nikon D300 - the Clearwater set was shot with a Nikkor 80-400.

Here's one of my favorites from the day- look closely... lots going on in this one.
