Default New Boat: Grady-White Sportsman 180

Took delivery yesterday - spent the rest of the day & evening breaking in the engine.

Snapped some pics this afternoon.

The boat rides & handles unbelievably well for an 18 footer.

Cheers!

Would you mind reporting what kind of a deal you were able to work out?

The boat's a 2009. I paid $33,467 for my GW 180 (tax & licensing were an additional $3,656). That price included all the standard options plus: an F150,.. high bow rail,.. livewell,.. hydraulic steering & tilt,.. and washdown. I subsequently added a some electronics & a swimm platform. That price did not include a trailer. (the boat will be wet slipped)

I got the dealer's price down to $37,217. Plus an additional $3,000 credit from Grady & a $750 credit from Yamaha. Net price: $33,467.

Below's a link to a good deal on a 2008 GW Sportsman 180:

Nice looking boat, but that's a lot of money for a 18' boat, what kind of Whaler could you have got for that kind of money, I would think a 19' Outrage would have been close.

I did consider & sea-trial a new BW 190 Outrage. Aside from prefering the GW 180 over it - The GW was materially less money as well.

Cheers!

According to the Whaler dealer I spoke with last week, all remaining 2008 Boston Whaler Outrage 190s with the 150 Verado, standard items and a galvanized trailer are going out the door for $29,995. He had just sold his last one. I think he said Brunswick was giving a $7000 rebate on the boat.

The BW 190 Outrage I looked at & was quoted, was a 2009.

Sounds like a great time to buy,...for anyone interested in getting an Outrage,... or any Whaler,... or any Grady,... or etc.

I bought my 345 Conquest about mid August last year. Got a great deal then, too.

Boston Whaler's running their, 'Mid-Summer Dream' pricing & promo right now. Below's a link:

I have to agree to that!
Great layout and great seakeeping design! If I had that boat the possabilities of use would be endless. From the lakes to the ocean and probably everything in between!

CLK,

I really like the lines of that GW, especially the high bow and raised rail. Real nice package!

All the above is what really sold me on the boat. I'll ues it as a runabout on a large lake (LK. Washington) & into the Puget Sound. Can use it to fish, cruise, or simply to get from point A to point B in good time. With the F150 on the back - it scoots pretty good.

From little time I've been able to spend on it - I'm very impressed with how it rides & handles. Others who have the same boat & know of what they speak (PSW), can attest to the 180's ride in different seas.

Thanks again!

Cheers!

Thanks - Me too!

I prefered the looks/lines of the 180 over the 190 Outrage.

At first - wasn't sure about the raised bow rail - but it's really grown on me. Now, I don't think I'd get the boat without it.

Cheers!

VERY nice boat there! The local Grady dealer use to sell those at the boat show with an F115! That 150 should be PERFECT!

BTW, you have too MANY great boats!

Regards,
