No thanks. I like the look of light bouncing off the surface of non lit water at night.

Now see if it was me. I would have had a cast net and not a rod with no line.

I know two things for sure. One is that the fish aren't fake, if you have the lights come on every night at the same time the fish will be waiting for them to come on.

Two.....it looks fantastic.

But definatly a huge ad posted in a hit and run membership. Some ask what the big deal is. The big deal is that there are a lot of business owners on this site that would love to advertise their product without paying. I actually make it a point not to even talk about my products unless asked specifically. And even then I will take it off site.

And the people that actually pay hundreds of dollars a month to advertise might also have a problem with it.

That thread started out as just that....homemade underwater lights. After I started getting a lot of requests and it obviously matured into a business I quit posting about them.

Of course it does look fake. Never ever seen so well/clean dressed fisherman.

I have also checked on the edge of each picture, and I cannot see the plastic bag that was containing the life fish baits just released around the rods.

All that sounds too smart for me.

I respectfully disagree. This is the guy's first post and he uses it to advertise his product complete with a web address. The pictures he posts are obviously staged. This isn't like one of the regulars posting about something he came up with; this is spam. This site would really go to sH!t if we had to get through advertisements like this every time we logged on.

Seems like those of you that defend his posting rights are doing so because you like the product. Would you be as defensive if you didn't like it?

The rules about Spam need to be applied equally without our mixing emotions and value into the discussion.

The Sponsors on this forum pay for being here. If a guy posts about a new product without being a sponsor, or even being a paying Captain's Club member, we'd be seeing dozens of these things a day. Think about it.

ROFL!!! May be? Please... those pictures are not from a fellow boater just giving us a "heads up" they are straight from the product website. Don't believe me? 'www.seascapesystems.com/gallery.html' (I list that only as proof... I didn't make it a clickable link on purpose)

Please don't pretend you know what others would have done.... there are plenty of honest companies who PAY to advertise their products on this site. Personally it's no skin off my nose, but I do see the point of not allowing people to advertise for FREE when others are paying to do so.

My point exactly Chris. And how you post to help boaters and fisherman/woman in other way's from bottom paint ETC. A real productive member I had to search for that old thread. And since this thread got so much attention that if a member wanted to talk about underwater lights that you would be the man, to help in anyway from one of our own
