Default Some boats that pass through our little town

Some interesting boats passed through our little town every year.
The Teddy Bear winters here and was featured in Passage Maker Magazine recently.
Home Shore used to make his living as a commercial long liner/troller, now it's a charter boat and advertisers in Passage Maker Magazine for training cruises between Washington and Alaska. The rest are just boats passing through and the last photo is a favorite waterfall.

That Teddi Bear looks like it is only about 50 foot long - with a Helicopter and serious davit!

Looks very top heavy though. Wonder how that 'copter would fair in a heavy sea?

Actually she is 55 foot - here are the specs. the reason for the heavy davit - she also carries a VW Golf on the foredeck!

She carries the small car on the well deck, aft of the foredeck and there are hinged brackets above the car for a approximately 17 foot tender.

Great photos. I, too, was intrigued by "Teddi Bear" and found these additional pictures and information on the boat. http://www.johnsonyachts.co.nz/ben55.htm Beautiful state you live in.

Teddi Bear is a "Florida Bay Coaster" and was designed, as you guys found, by J. Benford. The guy who built the few Coasters is a guy named Reuben Trane who has built many different types of boats over the years (my father owns one of them, called a "Marsh Hen").

Teddi Bear reminds me of the former or current "Red Head" a boat that Billy Joel had for a while, that looked just like Teddi Bear but was painted red on the roof of her bridge. Maybe someone else remembers Red Head as well.

I know the captain that skippered Red Head for Billy Joel, these days he owns and operates H.R.B.( Hot Ruddered Bum) and takes disabled veterans fishing in Southeast Alaska.

a very nice tug to yacht conversion
I forgot the acronym for this one, twin torpedoes with narrow pylons supporting three decks of luxury
and a crab boat
