Did you sit at the helm? Looking at the relationship between the seat and the helm, I'm guessing you have to stand up to touch the steering wheel.

The big black helm that looks like it belongs on a 22' CC has no business being mounted on a teak pod......

According to the HMY broker, that issue is being addressed as well.

We'll refer this boat as version 1.0. Never buy version 1.0 of anything.

I agree that the top of the windscreen is a whole mess of fiberglass and its not as though it has any significant structure purpose, just interferes with visibility.

On the other hand, I also love the mezzanine seat! That is way cool.

Wow I didn't notice that until now. Look at the dash, it's not electronics friendly either.

It's not a very pretty boat from the side profile either. Too straight!

That windscreen has a decent amount of fiberglass in the corners also. Got to be careful of blind spots.

That is a real crisp looking boat - cupla tweaks as stated previously and this will be a really nice ride....

Seating arrangement is really nice.

I'd never want to have to completely clear the cockpit to get into the engine room. What happens while you are fighting a fish and need engine access?

There's a day hatch into the 'engine room' towards the aft end of the helm deck.

Look at the picture when the deck has been raised. You're not getting access to those engines through that hatch unless you're a snake. It may allow for some servicing but you won't find any sane person getting into that engine room area while out at sea.

That boat looks like it was intended for sail fishing at best. It's certainly nothing I'd want to take out to the northeast canyons. Hell without a fish box it's not any good for stripe bass fishing either.

Unfortunately, it looks like there might not be a 2.0.

Hey Guys,

I'm sure Riviera will trade out of their problems, or alternatively, find a buyer who will continue at least some of the production lines.

Regards

Darren

I like it....For what it is. The placement of the wheel on the pod is all wrong. It should be lower and the pod a little higher...That is the first tilt wheel I have ever seen on a pod. Goofy is the best way to describe it. They did a great job of doing the Palm Beach handles then they stick that standard issue black helm right on top of that varnished teak... Makes you wonder. What is the deal with the stickers?

it is a bit hard for many builders at the moment, hopefully they can go out of this and come out better
there was a 3600 SY Series II delivered a few weeks back so I think they are still delivering and builind boats
and the 51 Series II with IPS did quite well during the Miami Show

I got a phone call from the broker last week. This boat is now owned by the bank and is available (no trade) for $569K. In case anyone was interested.
