Default Chesapeake Bay Bridge

On my first boat ride of the year, 3/7/2009, I rode up to the Annapolis from Chesapeake Beach. It was flat calm, but cold and gray. I took these pictures of the bridge for the march photo competition, but I got them off the camera too late to enter.

Here's some information about the bridge: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chesapeake_Bay_Bridge

We crushed the fish right by it the other day. Released 14 striped bass from 35 to 40" in a half day trip. See the bridge over my buddy's shoulder

Those are great shots! It's just too bad the MdTA is ignoring the structural deficiencies that are CLEARLY visible to the east of where those pictures were taken. I guess it will take another death or two for them to do something about it!

haha matt. the story is that i was just a little too anxious to get out for my shakedown cruise 2 weeks ago. just wanted to try out my trolling spread and do a little catch & release striper fishing before the season opens. went out without my regular handy-dandy repair kit and had a hydraulic steering failure...locked in a hard left turn, so i couldn't navigate a straight course even using the twins with opposing thrust. would have been an easy fix if i had any fluid on board. just air in the lines and has already been fixed up.

I cross that bridge everyday. It sure is a different view down there from what I see everyday. Great pics!

We are probably on a good bite of the migratory fish until Mother's Day weekend.
