I have fished on Capt. Mike Ellis cold molded freeman ( I think it is hull #1) It is a awesome boat. We fished 45 mile south of south pass ( venice LA). For the return trip he put em in the corner and DID NOT touch the throttles until we entered the first no wake zone. (45 + 25 miles) For those of you who are not familiar with the area, the last 25 miles where in the main shipping channel of the mighty Mississippi River and we encountered large wakes from ships departing the river. The boat went thru those wakes as if they were nothing, and done so with out punishing the boat. It is a great boat, a great fishing platform , and yes the trip was very sucessful thanks to Capt Mike Ellis. Prior to the trip I was not a multi hull fan, during and after the trip I was converted. These boats will make a mark in the off shore fishing industry. As good of a boat as I have ever been on

Thanks Homebrew..... Its only a matter of time. I'll get a few of these hardcore mono guys to jump over.
Well, after fishing a smaller cat (Twin Vee) out of Surfside, TX a month ago I'm ready to make the switch to a cat. I've followed the Freeman saga over the last couple years and it is very impressive. One thing, though....any thoughts of making something smaller than 33'? Maybe a 27 or a 29? I love the boat, I'm just not sure I need something that big.

We hope to have 3 boats in the line up in the future. 28 ish, the 33, and a 38. We feel like the 40 is going to be unstoppable, so that may be where we head on the bigger Freeman. It will be a few years... dont give up on us.

Go ahead w/the 33...then when 4'itis sets in, you'll already be there...
