Been reading the posts, awesome job. I graduate form the Landing School of Boatbuilding and Design in Composites next week (Kennebunkport, Maine). Been building a 19' Lightning Sailboat, from plug to mold to boat. The hull is hand laid outer skin, bagged core (corecell), infused inner skin which we did today, it sucked in 8 gallons of resin in 56 minutes through 2 layers of knitted 2415, Proset Epoxy. Needless to say it was a great day! I'm gonna be in Ilse of Palms the following week Monday the 22nd through Sunday. Wanted to know if I could vist the shop and see whats going on, and if so how to get there. Thanks Banks.
After 2 weeks, we have bagged all of the core and will finish the structural glass next week. This is a far cry from where we were at this same time while building them cold molded.
We got the whole interior glassed. The crew really had it in overdrive the past few days. We will start with the bulkheads and fuel tanks over the next few days.
Looks good. A unfinished hull at the point after all ribs and stringers are install. No flooring or decking and fuel tanks/water tanks.
That way shipping it will not be a problem and the right gride would be installed to your plans.
I may consider shipping one unfinished, but she needs to have her decks in since they are a key structural component. If it were done, I would like to see her structurally complete.

Billy you got a great boat as I have said in the past. Slow down if you have to? but dont slow down on your dream. and dont let someone steal your dream?

I can understand that. hell, everybody loves there kids.
Billy,by any chance could an in/ob be installed? My thinking would be a set of nice diesels in her with maybe a jackshifts. That way more weight would be center and fuel numbers would be alot better, but loose top end.

Sorry, no room for diesels. Why would you want to curse yourself with i/o's anyways? In my life, I have never seen anyone that is happy with i/os in saltwater after 2 years.
No doubt, the economy would be great, but the upfront cost is ridiculous and the maintenance is insane.
Looks great Billy, congrats on the progress and the molds!
What is the exact address of your shop, gonna be over that way soon and was going to drop by.

I had the butterflys in my stomach today just like the first time I went for a ride in hull #1. She popped right out no problem. We will be putting in the fuel tanks and decks over the next week and start working on the plug for the cap.
