Sorry guy's, I wish I had some updated pics for you but I haven't touched the boat since April. I've just been too busy with work. I hope to get some time between now and christmas to finish the skin at least and maybe glass it by New Years. I will post some pics if I do.
You're not kidding about the difficulty of building a model like this compared to the real thing! Radius' get tighter, screws/holes get smaller, boards/planks get narrower and thinner and certain "compromises" have to be thought out before executing. Rigging the cockpit and doing the T top frame will be interesting, to say the least. Yachtjim said he had a guy that could do the frame so that would be a great help!
I've done a lot of planning with regard to the drive-line, too. If I ever get to that point, it will be fun!
I saw it a few weeks ago. Pics don't do it justice. If it was mine I'd put a seat in it and ride that thing around! It is awesome, I hope you can find time to complete it!

I WILL find the time to complete it, I promise. I want to get the entire boat glassed and ready for paint before spring because I have a waterfront home to build in OC in the spring and if I don't, the boat will be delayed about 10 months. My goal is to have it complete for the Thunder On The Narrows next summer.

You've GOT to see Curt Conrads boat Team Victory (about 3/4 down the page)! This thing is AMAZING in every detail! Watch the entire video
I'd like to but the link doesn't work for me. Just a faint backround pic, no videos.

That build looks great, and those motors described sound nice. I even went to the website to check out an idea on price. Did you really pay MSRP for each engine? I don't even want to post the prices I saw in fear that your wife might see. That is going to be a real high quality build when completed.
