Funny you ask, i have been meaning to post pictures. I've just been too tired when i get home to do it. Tooled the mold out to 1200 grit, buffed it, then prep'd it with TR sealer and 5 coats of TR high temp wax. Got the mold sprayed with gelcoat the other day, 2 different colors. The sole is a lighter key-lime green than the hull sides and the rest white. And then the next day, got 1.5 oz. skin coat on her. Got my wife's laptop tonight, so i can't post pics. Will have pictures soon!!

Looking at the glass work. It is impeccable. Now that is attention to details.

Only wish all boats got that much love when they are being built.

i should have some pics up next week. got everything covered with woven material (1708). spent today grinding and prepping for core. i will use plascore (nidacore) on all walking areas, and coremat for the walls. i always seem to spend more time on the glass work, then i don't have to grind as much!

Looking at the bottom of that boat.....It's a ProKat.

I had a 2003 20ftr in the shop at the first of this month doing some electrical work to it.

You have done some nice work.

Yes it is, or almost. We had established that earlier in the thread. The mold is apparently another one of the original Seagull molds, which is what ProKat got hold of and used for their 20 footer. And yeah, he is doing really fine job.

Getting ready to vacuum bag the plascore floor. I ended up using scrimmed and scored 1/2" balsa for the gunnel tops and plascore for the swim platform. All bonded with 4001 Arjay bonding putty. Gotta finish up this week and get her covered with some 24oz. fabmat next week. I started an Aquasport 24' rehab this week, so progress on my boat has slowed a bit.

here's the dry fit, and a shot of the foamed in stringer system. the coast guard told me this boat didn't require any flotation, so i went above and way beyond what was needed. the foam will deaden any sounds, and guarantee this thing never sinks! more than likely this will be the "foam package".....i will also offer the same stringer system, just without all the foam.

Medic

Lookin' great. After you have built at least one of each (foam and no-foam) I would sure be interested in a report on differences, if any, in ride, wave noise levels, etc.) Keep up the good work.

I use 2lb foam in the stringers and will use 4lb for the area around the fuel tanks. I will post some more pics this week of the fishbox and walls of the top deck.....i just got my FOMO kit in and will be spraying marine grade foam all over the outside of the fishbox and deck. Fishbox is for insulation and the foamed walls of the deck will deaden sound and add a bit of rigidity.
