Random Quote: Early to bed early to rise fish like hell and make up lies.
Ok we've all had fishing partners that made us a little nervous from time to time.
If you have a picture or a story, posted it here.
I shared the bank with these two guys, and two of their friends for several hours before my lady decided she had had enough company for the day.
There is a little magnification in this photo, he was 50 feet away.
Although it doesn't look like it, I am sharing the same bank with this guy and he's not much over 30 feet away.
I've had a couple. One guy kept putting his hand in the fish's mouth then bringing them on board. We were trolling for striped bass. I could just see the hook releasing and the person holding the rod setting the hook in his hand. Another time a guy left his Southern Comfort bottle on the tower. When we took off it just missed my head.

Those are awesome shots. Did the bears totally leave you alone? Were you constantly looking over your shoulder?
My lady and I went up a small crick with our skiff, my lady stayed in the skiff, tied to the beach and fileted the fish as I caught them( she's a good woman).
I do let her catch a few.
I was on the bank and yes I was constantly looking over my shoulder, I had a 44 Desert Eagle in a shoulder holster and a 375 H&H in the bow of the skiff.
" did a totally leave us alone?" NO But I'm pretty tolerant, and they were pretty well mannered and we are all around to enjoying another day.
Most of my photography is done with a 35mm SLR, my digital is just a small pocket camera. I will soon get up to speed with my new computer and a scanner and will post photos that include both me and the bears.
Alaska, one of the few places in the world where Man moves about 2 notches DOWN the food chain.
Mess with a Bull and ya get horned.
Mess with a Truck and ya get run over.
Mess with a Griz and ya get eaten.
Oh , ya might want to junk the .44 and get a .454
What was the name of the movie where the guy becomes Griz turds in the end ?

You maybe thinking of the Anthony Hopkins/Brad Pitt "Legends of the Fall", where that's how Brad ends up? Course, he sort of wanted to end up that way, or so his mentor, the old Indian guy, said.
I put a lot of value in a fast, tight, group... I can get more lead, on target in a given amount of time with my Glock 20 (10mm), or my Desert Eagle .44 then I can with a .454. I've tried it, and I don't like the .454, one of those times when the biggest and baddest isn't the most deadly ( do you know how small a Bears brain is?).
I was hoping this would be a fun thread, we've all seen some ridiculous things.
There's a gentleman on another thread talking about folks cutting bait on this gelcoat and throwing chum all over his outboards.
In my time in the repair business, I have four times repaired bullet damage, one time six shots ( I will save the details of that for another post).
Let's get some stories going here, there's been a couple but no follow-up.
Gun controll meanss using both hands .
My buddy Ron was up in AK. a few years ago Bow hunting and the Griz would not let them leave camp when they wanted too
but it was more fun hearing about the skeeters suking him dry
I own a .454 but I think I would rather carry a 12 ga with 00 and slugs .
Those are some beautiful pictures you posted , keep them coming and lets hear some more stories.

First time I went fishing with my wife I went offshore dropped the lines in and had a bull on in 30 seconds. fought it for 2 minutes before she said she was seasick and proceeded to try and cut the line as I noticed there were 20 or more mahi around the boat. Made a deal - boated the bull and went back inshore.
