MIke is that the big yellow bert over at hinkley?
Dunno where it is, it happened outside Palm Beach. Maybe I should take a walk over there.... Now that I look at the 2nd pict, I bet you're right, can almost see my house! LOL
Holy S**T.... Do you have some pics of the entire boat there??? This is gruesome... not what a boat builder needs to have happen in this economy... talk about cutting corners!!
Here is another Bertram delam story from a while back.... note the price tag..
I do not know much about boat building, but I would venture to guess that is not an isolated problem, or a "bad one" that got through. Not the the are going to have problems like this, but they can't exactly be built like tanks. I would imagine that you would have to question their entire hull building process???!!!??? Please correct me if I am wrong
you might think that the QC manager would have started thinking about how the factory line ended up with 50 extra gallons of resin that was scheduled into the hull?

temporarily boatless...
I'm thinking the crash pumps got put to use on this one. Somewhere an expensive attorney is racking up hours. I'd hope Bertram would offer a refund on this one.

What a mess.
An excerpt from the email that the photos accompanied.....
"From the information I have, this is a 3 month old 63' Bertram that replaced a 57' Bertram. Apparently the owner had overwhelming problems with the 57' and Bertram gave him a special deal on this 63' On a regular fishing trip while going out of the inlet, the boat just started to come apart. They didn't hit anything, it just started delaminating!!"
